Those Bricks Of NC State

I had a fella Wolfpacker challenged me to write a poem ’bout the red brick sidewalks of NC State -- this is what I got so far: 

Cutting across the Court of Carolina
The red brick sidewalks of NC State
Pass beneath my feet, my friend
Reminds me of a better time
When the days seemed to never end
And the future was all mine
